...oohhhgaaahttp://wwwd...there are so many arguments against Saabs on the track...
I think that I've heard them all and now this...they aren't safe!! Holy Cow
that sure puts a spin on things.
Once you get some tires and some seat time, you will be able to keep up with others
and I can guarantee that you won’t be the slowest. If you have any skill at all, you
will be in the top 25% of cars…the c900 has great power and balance; as a driver there
is really not much to struggle with except the application of power when exiting tight
2nd and some 3rd gear corners. That is a lot LESS to put up with compared to many
other “track cars”, some of which are constantly underpowered by 100hp like the Miata,
or spin-crazy cars like the MR-2 or MR-Spyder. The first-gen RX-7 is a complete
bitch to drive at the limits…it alternately bogs down (not enough power) and spins
(rear suspension locks out with body roll)…now that’s a waste of time and money!!
Anyway, enough pep talking here. REALLY REALLY don’t worry about 205 tires,
as you will have a lot of catching up to do until you can drive the car 100%.
