sounds like a fun day. I have same thoughts on not ruining the ride of my rwd car that I take to the track about 4 times in the summer. My compromise is to fit firm sway bars in poly bushings for the summer, and put oem back on off season.
I put race pads up front (porterfield R4) nite before the event. semi's stay in rear. In my case, front brake cooling was helped by removing the splash shields, opening up air access to the disc center for entry into the vanes. I'm happy with ATE super blue fluid. I'll be trying slotted rotors from KVR in Canada, to keep pad surface 'fresh'.
