It is actually a US version of the ford sierra known as the merkur xr4ti. It came with a 2.3 turbo engine from a limited version of the mustang known as the SVO. I do have all the cosworth body parts on my car though so that is why you see a cosworth and not a merkur =).
All of the sierra cosworth parts are basically bolt on. I have the complete and original cosworth bumper, arches, skirts, wing, grill, lights. If you thought airflow bumpers were expensive...oh boy! A cosworth wing goes for about $900 and a cossie bumper goes for about $800. I lucked out and didn't pay these high prices but that is alot of money when you consider a mint Merkur sells for around $1000-1500 and i mean MINT. Interesting to note is they also made a sierra xr4x4 which is an awd version of the car in europe. I was able to get a limited slip differential from this car and it was essentially a direct 3hour swap.
Thanks,
Chad
