*** the reason we use the old style cars is the bumpers fit closer to the body on the sides. in this type of racing people like to rub and you don't want to get bumpers hooked together. the rear bumper on the newer style cars would also catch alot of air and cause drag. i like the newer style alot better(i drive one every day) but the older style just works better for this application.
*** the rear control arm relocation is to adjust roll steer. when the front pivot is lower than the rear it causes the rear end to steer the wrong direction, causing more steering input, therefore more push. this design will allow for the adjustment of roll steer. so if the arm is flat to the ground or head up to the axle this could be done to help the problem. however i wouldn't recommend it on a street car it requires lots of cutting and welding. i cut the whole front of this car off and i have to say i was more intimidated by this.
*** in this class we use a 13x7 wheel which is required by the rules along with a 23x7 goodyear circle track tire.
*** yes adjustable shocks are legal for our class. we use koni's on our other car and they have worked well so far.
*** currently on the other car we use 650 lb. springs on all corners except for the right rear which uses a 700 lb. spring. we also use a large rear sway bay and no front bar.
