I pushed for the 2 side mounts, because on a 85 there just is not enough room out front to fit a large enough intercooler and still keep my AC. Even with a IC bigger than a 9000 unit, you still have a huge section that isn't getting any air because the bumper is blocking the flow, so whats the point. So the decision was obvious.
For my intake we are planing on cutting up 2 cars to get the inner fender panels, welding then together to get more thickness. Then trimming them to fit so I can lay them in over my inner fenders and bolt them down.
This way when I cut the hole through the drivers side to plumb the filter I wouldn't compromise the stiffness of the body since there will be 3 layers of sheet-metal.
Where I live out here in Cal it gets upward of 108 degrees in the summer, which is the best time to drive a car like this. How can you really enjoy it if your sweating your ba[[s off?
Gary your car has turned out to be one beautiful machine, I can only imagine what it must be like to drive it.
Dave mentioned about getting a group buy together on a run of Quaif diffs,
I'll buy one. A gear style lsd should hold up way longer then a clutch one. I would like to find out just how strong they are though, I don't want to get my 4 speed all assembled and in the car and find out that the lsd cant handle the torque.
