For power, I tapped the 12 volt lighting for the headlight switch. It was easy to remove the headlight switch to get at the wiring.
For the vacuum/boost line, I used the 1/8" nylon tubing kit for my VDO boost gage. I connected to the fuel pressure regulator line vacuuum using a 5/32 nylon tee. I used a piece of 3.5 mm silicone tubing to connect to the tee fitting and then used a small amount of silicone RTV on the outside of the 1/8" nylon tubing, pushed the 1/8" nylon tubing into the 3.5mm silicone hose and secured with two cable ties.
I also covered my 1/8" nylon tubing with 4mm silicone hose for maybe 3 feet. The 1/8" nylon tubing slides fairly easily into the 4mm tubing. I am hoping that the 4mm silcone tubing will help prevent kinks and abrasion of the 1/8" nylon tubing as it passes thru the firewall.
I ran the tubing thru the rubber grommet in the firewall that the clutch would normally use (my car is an automatic). I then routed the 12 volt wiring and the 1/8 nylon tubing up through the driver's side front radio speaker hole so I could mount the boost gage next to the driver's A-pillar.
