Disconnected the fuel line right after the fuel pump, on the end that goes to the gas tank. Also took off the gas cap, the fuel is pumped in.
Hooked up the air compressor to the end of the line with the help of a pen shaft (that doesn't sound right), and turned on the air comp.
And BOOM! The pen explodes out of the end of the fuel line. I tried several more times, holding the two together. reached 60psi...then 80.. then 100 for a few seconds.
What the heck?! There must be another filter or something to prevent the backflow of gasoline, because nothing would budge. And I don't think rust would could possibly hold that much pressure.
I was able to stick a coat hangar 2 feet into the pipe and couldn't feel the blockage yet, so I couldn't even make the blockage vulnerable if I wanted to.
So is there another filter or something in the fuel line after the fuel pump?? There's nothing in the diagram in the manual I have...Looks like I may have to pull the tank after all...the 16 gallon full tank...
