Stephen,
The coil is fine. It measured 3.4 ohms. The old coil is ok as well. The Pertronix is fried. There is a little fiery hole in the back of it. I installed the old points and it started right up. I realized that the points were probably the problem I was having the whole time. Still, when I took the car around the block it started farting and running rough again. Is this a timing issue? Vacuum issue? I eyeballed the points. Can you time the car with the front clip on?
