I Thought I'd start a new post on this rather than rely to one that I managed to get off topic.
Well I got my Sonett back from the Dyno Shop yesterday.
As the title says I haev a DGV32/36 on my Sonett, plus a F4 cam, larger inlet and exhaust valves, plus a twin system thats 2" except for the down pipes.
They did a great job - the accelerator jet was not functioning right and they had to fix up the adaptor plate.
The jetting was as per JAck Aschraft's book but they changed the Primary jet - trouble is I can't tell you how much bigger he made it. He never touched th esecondary's
He also set the timing to 12 degrees BTDC at "static" which was 32 degrees at 3000RPM. - how does this compare with other people?
ANyway according to the dyno curve I have I am getting 69HP at the wheels at around 4500rpm (off my memory) before power starts to drop away.
Again how does this seem?
The car drives pretty nicely now. He reckons I could improve the car again by fitting a single exhaust, which does align with what Jack Ashcraft says. DOes anyone have experience with that? If so how much better?
