Some questions.
You replaced the clutch, so is the engine/tran still out of the car.
You're putting an MSS exhaust back ON, so in taking the engine/tran out, did you separate the piping somewhere?
Now some wild ideas.
Cut the pipe flush with the flange, crack the nut loose and weld on a new piece of flared pipe later.
Or grind down the nut on two sides and pop it with a hammer.
Or grind down a 17 mm wrench to be shorter and/or thinner and replace the wrench later.
