Hey Eric, thanks for the response. Don't know what happened so you couldn't do a direct reply. Maybe I mis-typed my email address due to being a little marinated after a cocktail or two, three, etc.
I have a set of those silicone valve cover gaskets on order and they should be here this week. They were $58.80 total (including tax and shipping) ordered on ebay by realgaskets.com. I think it was a little cheaper on eBay but you can order them directly from them also. My eBay link.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/282074124236 A lot more expensive than the $23 from the original posts I saw from 2008.
Instructions on the ebay listing say to use only 24 in/lbs or torque, which from what I have read is about the average person's hand tight. I have in/lb torque wrench on order also. The manual calls for 4 ft/lbs for the cork gaskets. The ebay listing says these are fully reusable. Just wash with soapy water and don't over torque.
Eventually I will post my experience with them after I chase a low compression on #2 cylinder. It has only about 30 psi vs 135 - 140 psi (cold, for got warm the engine before measuring.) on the other three.
Think I might have to pull the head to lap the valves so if anyone has any advice on that, please post a reply.
Again, thanks Eric for replying here.
