IF it really is complete and IF there's no pan rust and IF all the glass and trim pieces are intact and IF it either runs or you can haul it away at small expense, and IF (this is the big if) you want this type of project, it sounds as if you wouldn't be risking much at this price (although if they're asking $500 I might be tempted to try to bargain them down a bit.)
Most likely you'll still have a lot to do on it -- it's not worth the bother to rebuild the original FoMoCo carb on a '74, so at minimum you'll want to pitch it and replace it with a Weber 34ICH; if the car has sat for a long time it'll probably need to have the old brake fluid flushed out and possibly some brake plumbing replaced; etc., etc. The crooked wheel could be nothing (e.g. somebody wasn't used to lug BOLTS instead of lug NUTS and didn't get one tightened all the way) or something major (e.g. springs are coming up through rusty suspension towers) so you need to have a good look or else decide to just take a $500 gamble.
If I wanted a "project" Sonett and the other aspects of the deal were convenient, I'd think this sounded pretty good, but remember the old Indian axiom: "$50 for an elephant is a great deal, but ONLY if you really need an elephant, and ONLY if you have $50!"
