The Sonett 2 and early 3 have a small front bumper that is only attached to the chassi and fiberglass front by thin metal straps. These are very weak so if you try to tow with an A-frame connected to the bumper bolts you will destroy the fiberglass front. If you are to use an A-frame it should be connected to a second frame mounted directly to the chassi underneath the engine. Jack Ashcroft has written a good article about this in the NINES magasine including a drawing of a suitable frame. It should also be noted that there is a risk of damaging the sonett gearbox if towed a longer distance as all bearings will not be splash lubricated when the engine is not turning the input shaft.
