The B8 paint card in the color book that I have has several names:
Caroliner Blue
Caroline Blue
Bleu Carolin
Karolinerblau
Sininen (Finnish?)
Carolinerblå
There is no paint code on any of the Sonett color cards. That is probably why the body shop at the dealership I worked for had such a time finding a paint for a orange '74 Sonett that we sold after many months on the showroom floor. The guy insisted that they paint it because there were some scratches on it. The first paint they used was lacquer and the original enamel that SAAB used shriveled. (The solvents in lacquer eat enamel.) They didn't even let the guy see that paint job. The second one was a Corvette orange, and orange-pealed. The third paint job was a polyurathane paint and it attracted every bit of dust in the paint booth while it was drying. They had put it on heavy enough that they were able to buff the dust out and the guy accepted that job.
Maybe next week I can get over to the NAPA warehouse and look through their paint books.
