Sounds like a good one , Tyler.
I just bought my 72 last summer. ( So I'm NO expert!)
I paid $900 for a almost complete, running car . Needed a Lot of paint work. Frozen clutch.
So $3K for a nice , indoor stored car sounds like a deal.
How are the rocker panels and trunk floor?
Those are the first places these cars rusted. ( And were patched etc.)
If your serious, have the dealer prep the car. Charge the battery ( or replace). Flush the gas tank. And take it for a careful spin.
The V-4 is a solid little engine. ( A Ford industrial motor!)
So unless someone has tried to "soup it up" it should have many miles left.
One should change the stale oil , of course. Check out the tires for rot.
All the things to look for in any car that's sat for long.
Belts, hoses. etc. But after a good going over , an 800 mile move should be fun!
Keep in touch. You may have others interested.
Or may just become a Sonett Nut.
