I have a Sonett and had a PS2 in my truck. I used a TV with the PS2 and had problems with the battery running down.
I think it is impossible to drive the Sonett enough to recharge the Sonett's battery when using a tube-type TV large enough to see the PS2.
I think the way to do it is to use an LCD monitor. I believe the current drain is much lower with the LCD. Such monitors are expensive. JC Whitney has a 7" (48st4869p) for $699.99. Test play the PS2 on a 7" monitor to see if its screen is big enough. The monitor described is cool though, it is motorized and pops out of what looks like a dash radio. They have a 5" for about $400. I don't know if you could fit it in the dash, perhaps the glove box.
If you run the battery down with experiments, try to use a battery maintainer with a really low current output to recharge the Sonett's battery slowly. Its easy to destroy a vehicle battery with a fast charge.
