Your vote--best Weber 2 barrel setup

I've been checking this web site for suggestions on upgrading a tired single barrel Solex on my daily driver Sonett V4 to a 2 barrel manifold and new Weber carburetor. But I'm very confused by the posts. Some of the advice is pretty old by now, and may be out of date. Here's what I see now: Jack A has a stock 2 barrel manifold and new Weber 32/36 DGV progressive carburetor for; Chip L has a stock 2 barrel manifold and new Weber 32/36 DFEV progressive carburetor for half the price, and Jack L has a heavily modified manifold plus rebuilt Weber 40 DCNF synchronous carburetor mounted longitudinally for something in between. All of these carb setups include the choke and throttle hardware--correct me if I'm wrong!
First of all, it's great that there are so many great parts suppliers for a car that was sold in such low numbers! But these carbs and prices are all so different. What's the difference between the DFEV and the DGV? For easy starting, quick throttle response, and added mid-range torque, what would be your vote? It's gotta fit under the Sonett hood with some kind of air filter, so do I need to switch to the shorter motor mounts with any of these?
As they say on TV lately, I'd appreciate your vote!
