Ok, here is my two cents: I bought a 1973 Sonett III in Apr this year. Bought it because it is indeed a very unique vehicle. It has sat at my parents house for 8 months until I could get back here to use it again. I am shipping it to Italy which is where I am stationed. I had to drive the old girl from central Maine to north New Jersey to drop it off at the vehicle shipping point, a 7 hour ride. I concur with everything that was said: it is loud, it is not fast (my other car is a 1987 Porsche 911, so I am jaded I guess), it was ok, but not great, on gas (maybe 28 mpg). I also ended up with a pretty sore back, the seats are not conducive to long driving periods. I am a normal sized person too. I think one aspect that would be nice in that car is seat belts that work like a normal car, meaning mine adjust at the waist not at the shoulder. This style does not allow the driver to lean forward and stretch the back out a little during extended periods. If anyone knows of a remedy for this, I would appreciate it. Well, to sum it all up, the car was not fun to drive for a long trip such as this, however, I love that car, it is so COOL! Now that it will be where I am, I will begin restoration and bring her back to her beautiful original condition...Ciao
