Parts are out there, you've just gotta find them. Body parts for late Sonetts are fairly plentiful (for a low production car) because so many of them rusted out from the bottom, leaving the fiberglass intact.

Usually the problem with bumpers (at least the big, ugly bumpers used on late '73s and '74s) is that they cost enough to ship that there's not a lot of incentive to sell them. I got my '74 without a front bumper and eventually found one on eBay... but shipping it cost more than buying it!

Here's a tip, though: Take a good look under the front of that car to see if it's been hit. Some people do take the bumpers off because they're heavy and ugly, but it can also be a sign of a past collision. The bumpers are supported on loooong rectangular extensions -- it doesn't take much of a whack to push them out of line far enough that the bumper won't sit straight. It's possible to straighten them, but some people took the easy way out and just sawed them off, then ditched the bumper.

I'm not saying don't buy a car that's had a past hit, just be aware that it may take some work to straighten out. Mine had been smacked hard enough that the engine was shifted back about 3/4 inch on one side; chassis alignment was unaffected, but it wasn't possible to make the nose sit straight. Eventually, when I had the engine out to fix another problem, I was able to straighten the front using one of those hydraulic pusher kits from Harbor Freight.
