Well, clutch is 90% bled, and functions perfectly. I will rebleed tomorrow as I am sure air is still trapped. Brakes work! After 15 years they still work without a rebleed (I will rebleed though). They do seem to stick though, especially in reverse after multiple pumps. I drove the car up and down my driveway. Seemed OK aside from occassionaly brake sticking. Afterwards I checked fluid levels and they were unchanged.
The driver's side inner driver boot was shot. New one costs $25 and to add insult to injury requires axle removal and a 2 day delivery. Instead, on a hunch, I went to my local part place. They let me rumage through their split boots, and I found one that fit. Not as good an option as a real boot, but good enough to allow me to get ready to pressure wash my engine bay. Nice thing about this kit is it has axle grease in it. It also has "easy to use" straps. The straps required pulling with one hand whilst bending with a screw driver and finally locking in place with presumably a 3'rd hand. I was so positively impressed by this strap system that I immediately got my kit of zip ties with tightenner tool and used them instead. The boot was a good fit, but is still longer than the stock unit and I will observe to make sure it does not slip outward and contact the frame. If I am ever stranded on the road with a split boot or rattling CV joint I will keep this option in mind. It would allow repacking the CV joint as well as replacing the boot on the fly.
