1985 Saab 900 Turbo (Posted 3/9/2010)

Decent looking, clean, maintained Classic 900 Turbo. The car starts and runs well. Only one rust spot on left front fender. Amazingly the car does not have any other rust. The door bottoms, hatch, and other fenders are completely devoid of rust. There is only a small amount of very minor surface rust here and there. It has held up well all these years. I've had the car 3 years with the intention of converting to a manual trans. I have too many projects now, so the car has to go. Very solid car for a rebuild or conversion. I was keeping the car registered, but have not had it on the road for one year. I do start it and drive it up and down the driveway periodically. I am keeping in a garage. Tan velour interior, original red paint (except hatch that was repainted sometime in past), Saab rubber mats, original alloy wheels. Upholstery and carpet are very good with only small defects. Headliner is fairly new except the sunroof which is sagging some. Tires are 1/2 to 3/4 tread and have worn evenly. The car tracks straight at all speeds (at least up to 75). No holes in exhaust. Brake pads are good, fluid was changed last year. Includes original spare and tool kit. The engine stays cool, no overheating. The HVAC components all work except the AC. The bad- some normal wear and tear (but overall very good for age), cracks in dash, glove box door curling, inoperable AC (belt removed), the engine has an intermittent, random noise (may be a loose chain guide, but it has not been dianosed), inoperable radio, rust spot on left front fender, will not idle until it is warmed up a couple of minutes, red paint oxidizes (but looks good when washed), lower half rear hatch was repainted years ago so color doesn't match completely and labels are incorrect (this is the only repaint on the car), three chips in windshield. The engine (other than noise), turbo, tranny operate very well, all other components work great. The engine burns no oil. 1993 Saab 900S Coupe (Posted 3/9/2010)

1993 Saab 900S that has been pretty much sitting for last 2 years. Overall condition is good, and I have contemplated donation but due to the rarity of color/options, felt it would be best left in the hands of a Saab enthusiast. Reason for sale: I have 2 other 900 SPGs, a 9000 Aero, 2 Porsches, and another BMW....and I don't live in a big home. The good: Car runs fine, new battery, belts. NO RUST!! The bad: the pictures were taken 3 years ago and sitting around has made a sizable portion of clearcoat on the hood peel. 2nd gear synchro slightly worn (difficult 3->2 downshift) but works when warm. Dash cracks, Driver seat stitching has come apart. small chunk on lower edge of flare on passenger front is missing. SRS light is on, diagnosed as clock spring issue. The fine print: this is a special order Eucalyptus green car with grey interior, and the whale tail pictured will be removed prior to sale, but everything else is included. Has the factory OEM gauge cluster (RARE!). Comes with Aero Kit flares factory installed as well as vent covers. Super Aero wheels are good condition, and are probably worth $350 alone. Registration paid, but not smogged, hence no sticker (although car is insured). I'll get that done prior to sale, no smog problems over the years.

Car in excellent condition. Driven by my daughter for the last six years, approximately 20,000 miles during that time. In December we had Saab put in a new transmission, cv boots etc. Also has new windshield, front axle, cv joints, battery, muffler, tires, alternator. Very, very slight body rust, normal headliner issue and cracked dash. Runs great with many years left in it. She is graduating and we are getting her a new car.

This 1990 Turbo SPG is as good they get. Only 148K original miles. Recently replaced brakes up front, new Bilstein Sport shocks, new headliner. Everything works like new. No cracks in leather or dash, no rust, no dents or dings, tinted windows look awesome yet permit excellent visability all around. I bought another car, so the SAAB has to go. Reasonable offers considered.

2 owner car and I have owned this car for the last 20 years. It has been well maintained and I have 20 years of records to show. Has just recently gotten: new windshield, alternator, front brakes, and 4 Eagle GT tires. Starts, runs and drives GREAT. Includes: factory Thule roof rack, bike racks, ski rack, Saab rear louvers, CD stereo, and Ronel wheels. Interior is in good condition, headliner is fine, dash is cracked, but covered, no upholstery issue except one worn spot in carpet. A/C works, heated driver’s seat works and all power windows, locks, mirrors work. Areas that need help, paint (clear coat is shot), turn signal switch needs to be replaced (currently looking for one), tachometer and odometer don’t always work and interior fan can get noisy on high speeds. We really hate to part with it, but we are out of room for more cars.

Hi everyone I have a 90 Saab for sale. I'm asking the blue book value for it. Certainly willing to negotiate. It would be a great first time or get around. I have many more photos. I've driven it for the last two years, but was given a newer sable. Don't get me wrong, I love that car, but I need the money and can't have both. So let me know if you want to see it. The Bad and the Ugly: It needs a new catalytic converter and interior ceiling lining. Someone lifted the battery...sorry, but it will start up with one no prob. Needs new fluids because it's been sitting since summer. It's just sitting in the back yard. The Pretty Good: About 85000 miles. No rust. Leather interior with a tear on the drivers seat-bout it that way.
Sunroof. AM/FM radio w/Tape deck (i know right.lol). Tread on tires. Pretty clean. I did a do it yourself job to the muffler BUT the muffler is new. It runs fine to me.

1989 Saab 900 Turbo 4-door Sedan (Posted 2/11/2010) SOLD

Car runs great, looks good. Sporty Sedan with RONRL rims. Walter Wong looked over, provided these notes: cylinder head gasket, turbo oil, power steering pump, rack & pinion and valve cover leaks. Welded torsion bar, vibration at catalytic converter, starter motor, and upper suspension needs attention. Need new gas filter, rear brakes, upper coolant hoses, engine oil cooler hose. Coolant leaks into exhaust. No A/C. Car has new front brakes and tires with a lot of tread. Interior, dash, headliner, trunk are in very good condition. Need hood- paint cracked, rear pass door scratches. Car has power windows, sunroof, and locks. Salvaged title in 2000 (insurance matter). My wonderful Saab CE, #192 of 325, is finally, for sale to, hopefully, someone
who will continue to take good care of it. This car is extremely hard to part
with, but it is time and I can't take care of two cars (have a Saabe Aero).
Right now am alternating driving the two cars!!! I bought this car in 1998
from Roberti Saab with 29,000 on it and have always taken meticulous care of it.
It is in fabulous condition in and out (have spent many,many thousands to keep
it that way!). I had the ENGINE REBUILT at 190,000, and the TRANSMISSION at
211,000 (my Saab mechanic said I could get another 250K out of this car!!! This
is my fourth Saab and they all have been taken care of by Saab Specialists. The
clutch was replaced at 170,000 and the most recent replacements has been the
mast4er and slave cylinders, new radio (have kept the original in case someone
wanted it), valve cover gasket, driver's CV boot and distributor cap. The
headliner was also replaced! This car is still extremely powerful and very
tight and a blast to drive. I have fairly new Michelins on the original wheels
and Blizzak snows on winter wheels. I have always changed the oil at every
3000 miles and I have the car detailed twice a year; before Winter and in the
Spring. Everything works on the car as it should. I have all records and
receipts since I purchased the car, along with more photos. This car needs
absolutely nothing to be done and is in driveaway condition with NO RUST. Please

You are looking at a very clean, honest low mileage RUST FREE, well maintained, nice running car. The car spent much of its life in Florida before I brought it up to Boston, MA three years ago. The headliner and dashboard have been replaced. I re-stuffed the seats and put all new springs in so they are firm as they should be. The AC blows, but not cold. The cars paint is thin on the roof and some of the clear coat is peeling off in a few spots. Im selling this car because I found a 1993 Saab convertible and prefer to keep the ragtop. Buyers are responsible for pick up.

Rust-Free '93 900S 4 Door, less than 100K miles. Paint appears to be all original--no accidents. All original glass. Car has been mostly in New Mexico since my purchase in 2004. Matching Michelin X Radial DT tires with less than 20,000 miles on them. New shifting mechanism, fuel pump, alternator; recent front calipers and rotors, lower ball joints, and cooling fan. Customary headliner sagging and dash cracks; interior in excellent condition but needs detailing.

1990 Saab 900 SPG W/ Carlson Bumpers (Posted 1/26/2010)

For sale is my 1990 900 SPG. It is in excellent running condition with NO RUST AT ALL!! I have replaced the power steering rack, pads and rotors on all wheels, front an rear main seals, head gasket, window motors, driver and passenger window glass and rubber trim, new windshield, tires have good tread left and comes with new Hancook winter IPIKE w409 snowtires. The car is in top running condition. For performance I installed Swedish Dynamics red package including, 40lb injectors, modded red box apc, 3.0 bar fuel pressure regulator and EPROM chip, Front Mount intercooler from JDM Performance with all polished aluminum piping and T BOLT Clamps, open cone intake and 2.5 in exhaust all the way back with glasspack for muffler. Brand new Clarion Radio/Cd player/ USB hook up for IPOD, and 4 New speakers from Kenwood. I do not have the catilytic converter installed but I do have it, and it will come with the car. I have a full airflow kit with original carlson bumpers that have not been installed but come with it. The BAD: Torn stiches on driver seat, cracked dash, a few dents an dings on the doors, and hood was painted black very quickly to prevent rusting because the paint faded bad on the hood. Odometer stopped working and was replaced with one that reads 320,xxx a while ago. Mileage is verifiable on carfax. 1988 Saab 900 SPG. All original condition. 90k miles. All documentation of work done on the car since new to verify the mileage. The Good: Good body with not rust. Was purchased new in NC. I bought it from the original owner with 88k miles. Has almost new tires. No rips in the seats. Dash has some cracks in it. Paint is still nice but does need a good buffing. Transmission shifts fine. The Bad: Has a blown head gasket. The motor is partially taken apart. I started to do it myself but now do not have the time to finish with school coming up. I have extra parts as well that I will let you go through and take.

TRULY SPECTACULAR. Perfect mechanical condition and showroom appearance (only very minor bumper wear). Purchased at 34K miles from dealer as second owner, and then meticulously maintained. No accidents, whatsoever. Absolutely no rust (purchased with premium rust protection and undercoating). ABS, air bag, power windows/locks/sunroof/mirrors. Gleaming original black paint, beautiful tan leather with almost no wear at all, crack-free dash, and new headliner (flawless factory match). Everything works perfectly except seat heaters, sunroof motor, headlight wipers, and tape deck. New (within last 5K miles): battery, alternator, brakes, ignition, muffler, tailpipe, all hoses, belts, bushings. Brand new fuel pump and two tires (2/09). Original owner's manual and all repair records to 1997. AC needs to be charged but that’s about it. This car has been babied, but now we have to give her up for our new (real) baby. Nice driving car runs, drives, and shifts like a dream hard to believe it has 188K. Interior is very clean except for a few small cracks in the dash and the usual headliner sag (held up with upholstery tacks) , seats are in very good shape. Glass is good, windows, seat heaters, sun roof, mirrors, brakes, SRS, ABS, all work as they should. The bad: tires on the way out, A/C not working, and rust is slowly eating away at it, no commemorative badge. Make a reasonable offer has many years left but rust will probably prevent long term restoration being economically viable. Would make great donor car for another CE after running it out of time.
