Fun and sporty 1990 Saab 900-S. kept indoors, well maintained. New head gasket and many other minor repairs since I purchased it. Passed strict inspection in PA. I drive it often and even take the kids to school in it. I love it but I had purchased it with intent to fix it up and sell it to a Saab lover. You can call the garage I use to get the mechanic's opinion about its condition: Simply Saab in Pittsburgh. Pictures at http://s1296.photobucket.com/user/mdyh42/library/. 1993 Saab 900 Turbo Commemerative (Posted 5/12/2013)
Color: black Trans: Manual Mileage: 239,818 Price: $2,500 OBO
1993 Commemorative Edition #228. Car has been sitting for a year. Needs new front brakes and battery but the engine and trans are still very strong. The turbo pulled good last time I drove it. All power works great. The car needs a fair amount of tlc but would be a good project or parts car. Hardly any rust except for the passenger fender. I have a brand new one but never got around to replacing it. I don't want to let go of the car but I work so much I don't have the time for it.

1991 Saab 900SE Turbo (Posted 4/29/2013) SOLD
Color: Red Trans: Automatic Mileage: 104,000 Price: $3,500
Perfect Leather, Sunroof, Power Windows, about 104k miles (odometer has just become intermittent), Basically a 1 owner car. I bought it from a friend whose mother quit driving. Always garaged. I fixed it up from 3 years of little use and decided I want a manual. Purchased at Hueberger in the Springs, dealer service stamps to 83k miles in owner's manual since new and then serviced at SAABARU in the Springs after that, new fuel pump, full tune up, transmission pan pulled and inspected, New fluid, no leaks, new front shocks, fuel, air filter, battery, wipers, muffler, brakes like new, updated AC that blows cold, always garaged, no rust, Interior is a 8.5 out of 10 (small cracks in dash and 2 very small sages in the headliner in the rear) no rattles or squeaks, exterior is a 8.5 out of 10 (a couple parking dings and a very small dent on hood). Like new stock Ronal wheels with like new Michelin snows plus $200(tires were $500 at discount and only have a few thousand miles. This car has ABS and driver air bag. Paint is near perfect. Those are just reflections in the pictures.
1993 Saab 900 S Hatchback (Posted 4/29/2013) SOLD
Color: red Trans: Automatic Mileage: 85,000 Price: $1,000 OBO
My beloved 1993 900 met with an accident, and the insurance company is calling it totaled due to the cost of repair versus what they are calling the retail value. So, I'm selling this for parts, or you can rebuild it and have a great car. It has only 85,000 original miles on it. The body and paint are in great shape, no rust whatsoever. The interior is in very good condition. The headliner is coming loose but is in perfect shape, clean with no tears. Tires have very low miles on them. As you can see from the photos, the right front was impacted, so this car would need a new right front panel (very slight damage), hood (totaled), right headlight, front bumper, grill, some supporting metal pieces that got bent, and probably some other stuff inside. The driver's door can't be opened because the hood is pushed up over it slightly. Once the hood is replaced the door will work fine. Otherwise, the car is in great shape. It still drives perfectly, no damage to the frame. Suspension is perfect; the car handles beautifully. You can see a complete set of photos here: http://snowcreative.com/saab900.html .
1986 Saab 900 Friction Tester (Posted 4/29/2013)
Color: Airport Yellow Trans: Automatic Mileage: 20,000 Price: $4000
1986 Saab friction tester @ 20,000 miles. Body very solid (no salt used on airport runways). Auto transmission, shifts exactly. Runway testing not done at high speed as you might imagine. Full (5 binders) of original Saab manuals. Wheel Calibration fixture included. Inca wheels pictured extra (sorry, I like them too much to give away), 24 spoke manholes included as original. Windshield amazing , no highway miles, no pitting. Engine and trans as best stock you might ever encounter: again, 20k maintained by the book by airport procedures. Took one hit to the left rear, light damage. Headliner dropping and cracked dash. Keep original or drop the fith wheel ( will need a new rear axle, source available no problem) and make a very fresh '86 yellow turbo. Fifth wheel tester shows life in the electronic control, just no time to investigate right now.

1986 Saab 900 Turbo SPG (Posted 4/29/2013)
Color: Grey Trans: Manual Mileage: 117,xxx Price: $4000
Purchased 8 years ago, it had been sitting in a garage for~10yrs previously. The good: new turbo, clutch, master cylinder, calipers and rotors, brake booster, front engine mount, timing chain, dash is not cracked, no rust in critical areas (frame, wheel arches ect.) Tires new. I put it on a synthetic oil diet. Trans shifts fine. New window motors. I have not driven it in the winter but can't vouch for its life before. Spare SPG wheel, and set of 24 spoke "manhole cover" wheels. New oil cooler and lines. New alternator. Fresh battery. Injectors/seals replaced. New inner/outer CV joints and front wheel bearings. New steering rack and pump. The not so good: Interior changed to taupe leather (I like it, but not the original buffalo grey). Headliner replaced but sagging some again. Original paint but showing age, right door repainted poorly before my time. Slight rust bottom of doors and a hole under spare tire. Small crack corner of windshield. Sunroof operates, but not so good. Radio no worky. AC compressor removed.

1992 Saab 900S 3 door hatchback (Posted 4/28/2013)
Color: Dark green Trans: Manual Mileage: 133,464 Price: $2,500
This very nice car is being sold as a project. It has the 2.1L(non turbo)engine and it blew the head gasket 9 years ago at 133,464 miles. The engine was removed and disassembled and the car has been in inside storage since then. It is in excellent condition and was well maintained. Body is rust free, dent free, and only a couple paint scratches. Before the head gasket went it had new tires, new stainless exhaust, new air conditioning radiator. Last year I purchased a 1992 116,000 mile replacement long block engine with fuel injector, but still no time to put it together. When put together this car will make a really nice classic Saab.

1990 Saab 900 SPG Turbo (Posted 3/24/2013) SOLD
Color: Red Trans: Manual Mileage: 174,000 Price: $4000
I believe I am the second owner of this west coast car. Her first chapter was in Seattle WA, then relocated to northern CA for her time with me. What's right with the car: Body in great shape, headliner tight, new turbo and valve job. Runs strong, air conditioning blows ice. SPG9 electronics, and turbo pressure upgrade, K&N air filter(I have the original air box), stock radio and EQ. Paint looks pretty good after a detail. New catalytic converter, oil cooler lines and tires. What's wrong with the car: the usual cracked dash, and plastic around gages, speakers are shot, back deck board warped. Small dent on front lip of the hood. Driver seat needs to be re-stitched. Original paint, but looks good with regular waxing. Carefully maintained by Chuck @ Parker Automotive.

1989 Saab 900S (Posted 3/19/2013) SOLD
Color: Dark Mettalic Blue Trans: Automatic Mileage: 36,000 est Price: $2900 Firm
Perfect for a Classic 900 enthusiast. I am selling my beloved 1989 Saab 900S hatchback with EXTREMELY low mileage, in preparation for the expected arrival of twins in June. We need something with four doors for car sear access and we're having to give it up. It is a great & fun car and I'll be very sad to see her go! I purchased it sight unseen from Missouri about two years ago. It was driven by the proverbial older lady who drove it seldom (there are old AAA receipts for jump starts saying that the car needed to be driven more) and had 19,7xx miles on it when we got it. Within a four months, the odometer froze, but in the two years we drove it probably about 16,000 miles so I estimate it to have about 36,000 miles. The carfax report I looked at back then backs up the story that this car had mileage as stated to me. Sadly (for us, but good for you) the transmission went shortly after we got it, and we replaced it with a best-quality Ericcson transmission. Nothing else major has gone wrong at all. Here are some of the features: - Pristine exterior and interior. - Automatic Transmission. - Cruise Control. - Heated Power Side Mirrors. - Power Windows and door locks. - Huge cargo space in back and seats that fold down. - Heated driver and passenger seat. - Manual Sunroof. - New stereo with iPod & USB inputs (original not-great Saab speakers never got around to replacing). - 25 miles a gallon highway, 20 in the city, roughly. - I drove this mainly on the highway - easily cruises at 75-80mph. - New-ish front tires and front brake pads. - Rear seat fold-down armrest and headrests. - Emergency brake tight and works very well. - Has been in private lot for past two years. I go to an incredible Saab-only mechanic in Brooklyn - I am happy to give you his number to talk to him about the car. This is what he will tell you: It's a good car but it's 24 years old and you never know what might go wrong. This is absolutely true. This is a great and reliable car, especially for a lover of the Classic n900 model, but even with super low miles, you should walk into this with open eyes. Any and all known "Issues": - The passenger side "passive restraint" belt (horrible idea from that era) is stuck in place and needs to be manually attached. This just happened, and I think can be easily fixed. - Will probably need rear brake pads soon. - The body is in amazing condition, but underneath the spare tire is a hole that corroded through of about 9" diameter - There is a rattle in the right front end that my mechanic has assured me is of no safety concern at all; whatever it is can be replaced for about $800 but I never saw the need to. -headliner sagging at sunroof. - the headliner that covers the. - A-C not functional because original refrigerant has been banned. - belt works and can be converted to newer refrigerant. - Only one of the nighttime instrumentation lights works. It lights up the gauges and I just never wanted to spend the money to get into the dash.

1985 Saab 900 S (Posted 2/20/2013)
Color: Gray Trans: Manual Mileage: 82,950 Price: $6500
Attention collectors. This 8-valve 1985 classic Saab 900s is a rare find.
Originally a garaged Florida car, this vintage Saab has been spared New England
winters and is in extraordinary shape. The interior is in near showroom
condition. 83k original majority highway miles. The undercarriage looks nearly
new and the body is in phenomenal shape. The engine and transmission are rock
solid. This car has been lovingly maintained by classic Saab specialists ABJ
automotive in Somerville, MA and no expense has been spared - I have spent many
thousands fully restoring and giving it the attention it deserves. New exhaust
system, spark plugs, battery, oxygen sensor, top-of-the-line Bilstein
shocks/suspension work, new CV boot, calipers, rotors, pads, master brake
cylinder, engine belt, fuel accumulator, interior lights, front door seals and
hinges, Alpine radio with Ipod/Iphone connectivity, Air Conditioning system
work, new all-weather front tires, and more. 5 speed manual transmission,
sunroof, original paint, useful hatchback design - no sagging headliner. Drives
and handles beautifully. Selling this car only because I no longer have the
space for it. 1985 was one of the Saab 900 classic's best years and I would like
it to find a good home. Includes original manual and even the original keychain
and window sticker from the showroom dating from 1985! Serious inquiries only, please.
