I've been hearing this a lot recently and it just doesn't make sense. YOU DRIVE A $30k+ SAAB! When you're spending $30-$40 on a fill-up, does another $2-$3 really matter?
If your tank (16.4 gal) is bone dry, buying premium will add $3.28 to each fill up based on a $.20 difference for the good stuff.
If you fill up once per week, you're looking at an annual cost of $170 to use premium over regular. That's probably 1/3 of one monthly payment.
Spring for premium and sacrifice nothing.
