You can and you should. They not only look better, but also have a tangible driving benefit. The larger wheel/lower profile tire combo should improve traction (i.e. handling and braking).
You can find OEM SAAB 17" wheels on ebay, directly from your dealer or even Eurospec 18" OEM wheels from Taliferro SAAB (genuinesaab.com). Also, you can get wheels online from places like Tire Rack as well.
You'll spend at least $500/set for wheels (from ebay), plus at least another $500 (or more) for decent tires. Look to spend at least $100 mounted and installed.
As for a depressing thought-another $1255 or so could have put you in an Aero SC (compared to a 2.0T w/Premium package).
That was another reason I didn't get the 2.0T. Had I bought a 2.0T, I would've replaced the wheels right off the bat. I would've spent $1500 or so for a set of 17" wheels and tires. Just buy the Aero and get all the goodies!
As it stands, I bought a set of Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires and slapped them on the stock wheels, because I didn't like the OEM Contis on my Aero SC.
