That's true about snow. I assumed that since the OP asked about 17" wheels, he wouldn't put snow tires on it. :p
I also forgot to add the sunroof option to my analysis (which adds another $1200 to the 2.0T w/Premium), which brings the 2.0T specs closest to an Aero and makes the price diff $2905 from the Aero. A wheel/tire package mounted will cost a minimum of $1100 mounted (but likely you'll spend more).
So, you'll have saved about $1800 over an Aero. That's still a huge saving over the top model.
But if you break it down and add the Aero Academy ($1350 value) that comes with the Aero, then you've only saved $450. So, that $450 buys you an extra 40hp, 37lbft of torque, a sports suspension, bigger brakes, dual exhausts, Aero body cladding, sports seats and metallic interior trim.
$450 goes a long way....
