Did you ask them if it was reset or not?
I hate the 9-3 design in that the service message only comes on ones per day and it is in fact easy to miss resetting it since the message is not one when you test drive the car and then the next day when the owner start the car, the message is still there.
A very stupid design in my eyes compared to the older 9-3 or the 9-5 where the message comes on every start up.
I have to mentally tell myself to dial through the service info display when doing the test drive to make sure it gets reset and if it has been reset off cycle so that it is not possible to reset with the buttons, I have to hook up the Tech 2, scan the car, hook the Tech 2 up to the PC and ask for security clearance and then reset the service message.
