Saab-Highest level of safety among most "sedans" with the best skidpad and protection within the vehicle. Also, the BMW is very expensive to fix (friend has one and always complains).
The "everyone has one" factored into my decision, and I'm so glad I chose the Saab (2003-93SS). Saab does seem to have unique quirks about it (some computer related issues) but overall I'm very happy. It is also impressive in turn radius and turn handling on the road.
I believe you could do a search either on this board or Road and Track or Car and Driver re: comparison of the vehicles.
Good luck.
