Let me start off by saying we've been an Audi family for some time; a '99 1/2 A4QTipSport w/all the options and an '01 A6 2.7QTipS, again w/all the trimmings.

For the first time ever, my school teacher wife wanted to buy a vert, as she had one in college back in the day. We looked at 3, the volv C70, the Saab and the Audi. Her criteria: 1.) It had giddyap; 2.) It handled and 3.)It could hold 4 as well as her golf clubs.

Volv:
Great Deal, Good look, 9 year old technology and frame - new one next winter;
Audi:
We actually put a deposit on it, just before my friend called and said his salesguy was waiting to see me(3 Saab family. Audi also gave me a good deal as I expected being a 20 year customer - but they only had 1.8's on the locator and her test drive was so - so
Saab:
Exceeded my expectations in all 4 areas above - plus, here in Westchester Cty(just north of NYC) all u see are BMW and Audi verts, w/Saabs in 3rd place - Not too many Volvs.

Long story short - Bought an '04 Vert in Bad Boy Black/Parchment All opts. except for upgrade 300w stereo, including the 17" sport wheels/xenons/cold etc.

It's stunning, and we get stopped in traffic and at malls etc. when parking. Most people think it's a new Merc model and are surprised when told its a Saab. Plenty peppy and with wind deflector in place no excessive buffetting.
