"After going through the posted BB".....Saab fans... These BB's wind up being the complaint department. You find the same type of stuff on BMW, AUDI and other BB's. If somebody had a problem, or thinks they have a problem, then it get's posted.
Not that there aren't Saab fans on these BB's, I'm one of them. Here's three big reasons to put a Saab in your driveway.
RELIABILITY: Anybody who makes a living rating reliability, Consumers Reports and JD Powers to name the big two, rates a Saab far ahead of Volvo, and Saabs in general as above average reliability. Until recently, combining an "interesting" not very popular car with above average reliability has never happened before.
SAFETY: Lately Saab 9-3's have garnered major publicity for the "Double Best Pick" front AND side impact safetey award from the IIHS, and a week after that in a seperate report our active head reastraints were also lauded by the IIHS.
PERFORMANCE: As Saab invented the transverse FWD layout, they have finally perfected it too. The very un-FWD weight distribution technology of a 9-3SS, the all aluminum suspension and brake calipers, and the ReAxe passive rear wheel steering, all contribute to a car that dares to compare itself with the supposed best handling cars in the segment, FWD *and* RWD. Drive a 9-3SS back to back with a 325, supposedly the handling king, and see what I mean.
UNIQUENESS: Here's one of my favorite Saab anecdotes. All the BMW guys here at our Saab-BMW dealer drive Saabs. After hanging around here for awhile, you appreciate the Saab quality, style, value, turbo power and one of the main factors is the exclusivity, many simply aren't impressed with something everyone else has too.
