TG,
Yes, the dealer did not reset the the program after the 7,500 change. But, as I have heard before and as Louis says, the oil change light comes on strickly based by mileage and hence mine and some other '04s came with 10,200 (or there abouts) programmed into the system even though the factory claim is clearly 15,000. What is going on? Not that I want to go 15,000 miles between changes but curious as to if the those 04s really have the "improved" 4 cylinder engine. BTW, even a Saab service manager claimed the car does a realtime oil analysis to trip the oil change light and at first tried to refuse to do the 7,500 change (maybe he thought I wanted it free.) I also give them Mobil 1 0w40 to use, not sure what the dealers are getting in the drum.
