obviously knows squat about oil.
Sure, you've got a $5000 engine. Save a bundle by using $1 per quart oil.
Heck, all a good synthetic will do is reduce engine wear, run cooler under load, probably give you better fuel economy, provide much higher degree of protection in case of a machanical problem, and allow longer drain intervals.
Oh yes, the synthetic is also much more resistant to oxidation and sludging.
Saab comes factory filled synthetic oil. So does Corvette, Mercedes, Ferrari, ----gee, maybe they know something about oil!
