Test drive it yourself and reset the trip computer at the start of your test drive. The display (SID) will tell you the avaerage mileage for the test drive. It should be in the mid twenties if you get out on highway for part of your drive. In my experience it is very accurate. I average low twenties in city and 30 on highway. The trip computer will usually read higher than the value calculated when you fill up and divide miles by gallons. The evaporative losses are not computed by the SID and there is no temperature compensation.
