I'm poking a little fun at the DIC Gloomers as I call 'em as battery failure statistics, if looked at like a recallable safety failure kinda' perspective like a DIC, would out weigh or be more likely than any safety recall item.
When you think about it batteries are ancient tech, still only 12 volts and still almost all messy lead acid. Why not a lithium ion battery for your car of maybe 24-42 volts, you could save a lot of weight and space that way.
