Removing these is time consuming and tricky, but not difficult.
The WIS says to remove the turbo bypass valve and small pipe to turbo inlet. Also to remove the radiator vent line traveling across top of shroud to coolant recover bottle. There is also one small bolt/screw down below, hidden behind a hose wrapped with corrugated aluminum sleeve, which secures the coolant lines to the bottom of the shroud. This has to be removed (or broken) to get the shroud out of the car. You also need to disconnect the electrical lines going to the two fan motors.
Although not in the WIS, I had to remove the upper radiator hose from the radiator to gain space for a sideways shift of the shroud. The shroud is secured by two screws/bolts, one at each upper end.
With all the above parts removed (and maybe some others I have forgotten), you lift the shroud vertically just enough so the lower locating pins are freed from their saddles. Then you slide the shroud to the left (driver's side in US) as far as it will go (this is why I removed the upper hose), then rotate the other end (passenger's side in US) up and out of the engine compartment. The entire shroud then swings upward and out in a large arc following the leading end.
Removing this shroud produces a lot of extra room in the engine compartment. It is that one lower bolt/screw that is a real bugger because of its placement.
