He said the best thing to do, is to, before starting the car right up, turn the key for just a second. the fuel pump is just audible, and he said to give it just a second before starting the car. that gives the fuel pump a moment to pump the fuel from where it sits, on top of the gas tank, all the way to the engine. Before talking to him, I had been doing this for couple of days to see if it was a solution, and it seemed to work. So he is not full of it, he was telling me just what you told me, and what I had experenced for myself. He said that the valve should not be doing this, but because my car is no longer under warrenty, it is not worth the time or trouble to replace the faulty valve, and to place it under the "SAAB quirks" colom. I was posting this as follow up to a previous post I had done, hoping that it will be a possible solution for anybody else who has had cold start problems. (of which I have not had any for a couple of weeks now).
