Keep in mind that I love the Top Gear series, but Jeremy Clarkson really seems to hate the 9-5. He says that "it’s like driving a fast, bouncy castle" and that he says that "it’s quite hard to think why anyone would buy this instead of a Merc". Not that I would rather have a Merc over my car, but in 2004 or 2005 when this review was done, the 9-5 Aero was a pretty expensive car, stickering new at the lower 40’s with equipment. I think the 9-5 would be a great car to do a used car review on, as they are such a great used value. The only things he seems to like is the nav system and the power. There is a part 1 to this episode where they make fun of Saabs advertising campaign, by racing the 9-5 against a jet. This is sort of humorous to me as well, as I too think that the current Saab advertising campaign is pretty bad. I liked it when it was just, "Welcome to the state of independence". But what blows me away is that he said that it will go in 2nd gear from 40-70 mph faster than a 911 Turbo! Yeah, the Aero is fast, but a 911 Turbo is insanely fast!
