Fluctuating acceleration is a bad electronic throttle body, not a DI Cassette. DI Cassettes pretty much either work or they don't. They don't fail particularly gracefully as a general rule.
It is annoying that the recall only covers certain years, but it is slowly creeping backwards. I fully expect Saab to be forced to recall all the early DI's at some point. Remember, this recall was not something they wanted to do, they were forced kicking and screaming by the Government! Of course they don't care about cars LONG out of warranty. Be thankful you have a V6, the early 4cyl DI's very rarely last 100K due to the higher underhood temperatures.
