What kind of warranty expectaions did you have for an 8 year old car with 97k? That's almost twice the term and mileage of the excellent 4/50 factory warranty. Are ther some other manufacturer you can name that are generous with parts and warranties on 8 year old 97k cars?
I applaud Tanisha for setting you straight. Polite sympathy often conveys a non existent further expectation of service that in reality is non-exixtent causing further despair and dissatisfaction.
I would hope for the health of Saab financially that there are definitely hoops to jump through to get a car covered under warranty when over the warranty limit by even just 100 miles. The dealer didn't say it wasn't done, but simply expressed the logical range of warranty exceptions in hundreds of miles as opposed to the 47,000 mile exception you were asking for.
