I'm sure the answer is while you are in there do it all.
But my question of 119,000 miles I want to do the timing because i can sometimes hear it lobe up against the valve cover guide. usually on cold starts. If i do the chain should i just replace every guide on the balance and timing side? are there any sprockets known to go that should be replaced? with my v=6 i would always say yes... but the 4cylinder has always been very good to me. Should i just replace what is worn? chain and any guides that look bad, should i go ahead and replace the tensions? im thinking yes on that one. anyway whats the word? My main concern is to do it right but if i can avoid 240-260 dollars for each the balance kit and the timing kit with everything i would be able to do it sooner than later. rather dump 400-500 dollars towards a low milage viggen motor ya know? lol or some upgrades from abbott or trollspeed. anyway any feed back would be useful...
