Got back from the dealer after experiencing hard starts every morning. The car is a 2004 Arc (2.3) that won't start on the first try every morning. If it does start, it runs like crap for about 2 seconds then dies.
The Saab dealer says "perfectly normal, they all do it. Buy better gas."
This is unacceptable. My 12 year old 9000 or 11 year old 900 don't do this (the 9-5 is my father's which he has owned for less than a month, still under factory warranty and CPOed).
I will be bringing the car into the dealer (Charles River) that does work on my Saab (my father brought it to a different, crappier dealer) and will report back again.
I see this posted frequently here, and have read about fixes ranging from the CPS to the coolant temp sensor. We'll see.
