I believe the spec is 75 ft lbs. I usually tighten them to 100 ft lbs because i've had them loosen up if only tightened to the spec. but either way, you should not run into the problem you're having now at if you or your mechanic tightened them to 100 ft lbs or less.
I never use anti-seize on the lug nuts and have only had trouble getting them off if the tire shop over torqued theo bolts.
I'm betting they're just over torqued.
My advice is to use a quality 6 point impact socket and breaker bar. Or, a good stong compressor driven impact wrench.
