Bonjour Bernd
As I wrote earlier, I am not overly enthusiast about Mauer and hope Bob Lutz will keep him in check. Just imagine a Solstice à la SAAB ! Would be hard to resist.
Although it's nice for SAAB to have put out two concept vehicles, and they do address the growing trend towards crossover vehicles, I was very disappointed by their look. If this is all Mr Mauer can come up with as far as style, PLEASE get rid of him now. My point was that all the elements are in place for SAAB to become an adult car company. For sure it would be a damn shame to spoil the sauce with simplistic styling, or rather the lack of styling. I agree with your comment on the 9-5 and I am always amazed at how beautiful this car is, without screaming it, which makes for a car that ages very well, (how many of you are already fed up with the PT Cruiser, just to cite an example?) but it seams it is not enough to draw sufficient attention. In any case, definitely the best SAAB ever built and I hope the next 9-3 will be it's worthy offspring.
Cheers
