Some nice travels with the Saab yesterday...

Took a 1999 Saab 9-5 up to the North Georgia Mountains yesterday. After going through the obligatory northwest Atlanta traffic, I hit I-75 and went up to Calhoun, GA. The trip from my home to Calhoun gave me exactly 35 mpg, and that included more than a few stop signs and substantial waits.
I've found that the Saab will generally get the best mileage around the 60 to 65 mph range. One other surprising thing was that there were literally so many folks doing the same thing on the interstate as yours truly. It seemed amusing to have two lanes where everyone was perfectly happy to sip the gas, and two others where everyone was pretty much doing 75+.
On the way back home I hit a ton of traffic and stopped by the car wash as well. Overall fuel economy was 32.6 mpg with approximately 36 mpg obtained on the highway ride.
Who the heck says you need a Corolla?
All the best...
Steve
