As transmissions add more gears, faster shift time, and smaller packages, they have become very intolerable to contamination and finicky unless the fluid level is filled to a certain level at a certain operating temperature. Most shade tree mechanics don’t really know what temp the transmission fluid is unless they have a tech2 or the likes. I think they are saving us from ourselves.
