I am making the same decision. At 78K both sets wore out at the same time, with 35K on the winter (Gislaved) and 43K on the summer (OEM Michelin Pilot Primacy). My changeover dates are late April and late November. I agree with everything that has been said. I just bought Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3's for winter, very quiet, love them. I am leaning toward Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus for the summer, but the load rating is a little lower than OEM Pilot Primacy, 94W vs, 91Y. My thought process is that with A/S tires I will not have to worry if the snow comes a little early or a little late, but will stay with the same changeover dates. The A/S should last a little longer than the OEM's, so both sets should wear out about the same time the car is ready to retire at 13 years... and tire life of about 6 years.
