Spring perch spacers, need shims too?

Who has tried this other than LesH? I'm not sure this only will help. Yes, you gain static ride height. Under dynamic load, the spring displacement will be the same as without the perch. The spring can still bottom out; although, I guess it won't rub the tires as easily do to the spring spacer. The loads on the subframe should be the same, but perhaps at a different angle. Ultimately, won't the camber still be out an require shims as well?
I'm trying to figure out if there is anyway to try to fix this issue other than to try shims for camber adjustment and spacer for height adjustment?
LesH can you post more details on how you made these (last I checked the pictures were not loading on your member page)? My indy has a lathe so perhaps I can make them there.
