Issue was repaired by dealer A under warranty. It was never fully repaired. This dealer, dealer B had a chance to fix it under warranty. They said nothing was wrong. They ultimately replaced the siren under the 1yr,12K. Now they want to charge for the TWICE unit. I bet they will want to charge to read the codes.
Interestingly, they didn’t say to come in and see what sensor was triggered. My indy also suggested doing that. The service quality difference between the dealers and a good indy is amazing. I don’t feel the least bit bad for the failing dealers. Most deserve to go out of business. I doubt too many good ones are going under.
Most of my Saab issues relate to improper dealer diagnosis and thus failure/refusal to repair. The alarm is just another such instance. I have several grand in undiagnosed repairs that should have been covered under warranty but were not including leaking front and rear seals, subframe bushings, and so on.
