Doug, did you tap them with the orginal bolts or did you tap them with a tap set? and if you used a tap set, what was the size and pitch? I was concerned about using a cutting tap set in possibly making the threads not tight enough? (I dont have a cleaner tap set just cutting).
I agree Doug. they should include new bolts or at least indicate they are self tapping. of course info in car parts is terrible. if you had one break, you could have returned it for replacement IMO. even the tech support had to investigate my inquiry and call me back.
I plan to pull one bolt and try to tap them all on the bench before I pull and install the struts again. if i goes badly, I will insist to Advance they swap it out for another one. if it's self tapping with the bolt, they should tap relatively easily. this should not be a struggle as these are sold through chain shops like Sears. cant imagine they would put up with difficult taps on all of these.
