Edmunds doesn't have a clue!

1. They were unhappy that a car in this price range didn't have adjustable seat belt height while economy class cars do- would automatic height adjustment be sufficient?
2. How does a car with more interior room than any other mid size luxury car qualify as "cramped"?
3. I do agree that an auto up and auto close on the windows and sunroof would be nice, and the check links on the door could have a bit more strength in the first detent position.
4. Get a "real" sports sedan like a 330i? So I should pay more money for a car with less room, no personality or uniqueness, and a marginally faster 0-60 time (lets see how it keeps up between 150-200 kms/hr on the highway!)
5. They're comparing the 9-5 Aero to a 300M or a Maxima? Not only are these cars ugly -they are far below a 9-5 Aero. I went up against a Maxima (Apparently the fast one too) the other day and he was in my rearview mirror before I got to third!
6 They're upset that they can't pay between 2 and 4 grand (Canadian) for a DVD based navigation system? I'm upset too- I wanted to pay the extra and also buy the appropriate DVD and find my own way- that's much better than having On-Star give me step by step instructions to the exact address I am travelling to.
7. Maybe they should focus more on the performance of the engine which has more torque than any car in this class- and over a much broader range rather than the performance of the cupholders. I've also noticed that nobody (Edmund's included) ever points out that the Saab is capable of producing 273 ft-lbs of torque for a brief period of time (long enough to blow away a G35 for sure)

I looked at many cars before I bought my Aero (although I must admit that I never looked at a 300M or a Maxima) including many big names like Mercedes, BMW and Audi and I bought the Aero. I've never owned a Saab before and until a friend recommended that I check them out I was all set to buy an Allroad or A6 Avant. I found the Saab to be safer, a better performer, and cheaper (no matter what Edmund's says) than all of the others. I don't regret my decision one bit.
Let Edmunds drive around in their 300M- I'll wave as I go by in comfort and style.
