But if you're not an experienced DIY'er, it may be more than what you'd want to attempt. If the T7 shares the same design as the T5's
then there's a pin on the ECU that runs a white wire through the
false bulkhead, into the back of the instrument panel and EDU.
Removing the wire from the pin on the ECU (those 70-pin connectors
do have a removeable back) will remove any current going to the
'Shift-up' light. Also, there may be away to disable this solely thru
software - in which case you'd need someone with a TECHII, maybe?
