I must say that I have to agree with Paul. I came to the 95 board looking for honset answers about the reliability of the Saab 95, as I have had my fill of the 93s. Overall what I have read has been positive, although I am quite concerned about the reports by some drivers that their cars killed on them while driving.
I will research this further as I am looking for a used 95. I hope that my 93's nightmarish behavior was just a fluke. It was my third Saab, and frankly, the best one I had was an 85 turbo. Just in case someone wants to call me a whiner....
26,000 miles transmission went out seat belt on drivers side broke radio broke needed new battery and front headlights. 35Kmiles battery dead 48k cylinder head, battery dead, temperature control knobs broke, part of the lining to the sunroof fell off. The lease is up in one month Tell me... would you buy it?. BTW key battery broke at 50k miles.
I hope I have better luck with a 95. i'm gonna give Saab one last chance.
